Tangled Infinities

The Great Journey, Art in the Contemporary Pacific, Kaohsuing Museum of Fine Arts, Taiwan. 2009.

Ancient corals are torn from the Southern Ocean by deep sea trawling. Branches of coral were stencilled with dyed sawdust on the gallery floor, and as anticipated this temporary element was destroyed by human interaction.

Dimensions: Width 2000mm x Height 1100mm x Depth 20mm (tapering).

Materials: Sustainable Hoop Pine, acrylic paint, burnt pigment, embossed text.

Installation included stencilled red dyed sawdust and video including archival Greenpeace footage.
