Limpet, (2006)

Aotearoa New Zealand is surrounded by the sea. Limpet evokes a sense of New Zealanders’ longing for home, for a rock to return to, that is at the heart of our cultural identity. It is the practice of limpets to venture away from, and then return to, their individual place in a rock-pool.

Dimensions: Limpet is 1900mm long x 1200 mm wide x 500 mm deep

Fern, Leaf and Limpet were first exhibited at London’s Chelsea Flower Show as part of the 2006 Tourism New Zealand Garden.
Materials: Marine grade, 3mm, 316 stainless steel, hand finished and electropolished.
The works are a limited edition of four.
